Ride the scenic train rides with Mountain Rail Adventures on the Durbin Rocket steam engine that meanders along the Greenbrier River or the excursions at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park - where you can choose between the 1.5 hour Whittaker Station scenic ride, or the 4 hour round trip Bald Knob ride, where you travel up to one of the highest points in West Virginia.

Hike or bike the West Fork Rail-Trail or the Allegheny Trail -- both accessed in Durbin. Tour the Green Bank Observatory and learn more about space exploration. Take a short drive to Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort where you have access to epic winter sports, championship golf and mountain biking and nature walks in the Gaudineer Scenic Area, as well as some of the best fly fishing in West Virginia.
