Elk River offers the most complete selection of Fly Fishing gear both in the county & in the resort area. We’re located streamside on Hwy 219 in Slatyfork 4.5 miles south of the Snowshoe Mtn Resort. The guides are endorsed by Orvis. They provide year round wade & fish trout trips on local rivers & streams. We also offer guided fishing float trips with a 16 ft cataraft and float tubes from Orvis for the Greenbrier, New, Potomac and James Rivers. Anglers that spin fish are welcome along with birdwatchers that enjoy floating and wildlife viewing. These trips are offered from late March to early November. We also carry a large selection of Charlie’s Charmers. They are tied locally and will do the job when nothing else works. The shop rents waders, felt sole wading boots and Orvis rods.
