Hevener Farm - If you’ve every traveled north of Green Bank in beautiful Pocahontas County West Virginia, then you’ll know the place. For years hunters have admired the deer grazing in the fields and wished they could hunt there. Well, now it is possible. The Hevener Farm at Deer Creek offers limited hunts this year. The farm is over 1,000 acres of lush meadowland. It is bordered on the south by the 2,600 acre National Public Radio Astronomy Observatory (no hunting allowed), to the west by the Monongahela National Forest (with limited accessibility), and to the north by a 1,600 acre private farm.
